Aray Bridge

Posted by
Jules (Drayton, United Kingdom) on 23 September 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

The Aray road bridge as viewed from the Inveraray Pier.

Built in 1775 by architect Robert Mylne - to cross the river Aray and built entirely of dressed stone, with a flood relief hole between its segmental arches. The hill behind the bridge is Dun Corr Bhile and the Duniquaich victorian tower can just be seen.

My next few photos were all taken from this bridge.
