Idwal Slabs 3/3

Posted by
Jules (Drayton, United Kingdom) on 26 July 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Zooming out from yesterday's post - the two climbers are now barely visible in the centre of this frame.

The Idwal slabs and the cliffs around the head of Cwm Idwal, Snowdonia, North Wales; are a popular area for rock climbing. The Idwal Slabs in particular are popular with inexperienced climbers learning their skills. It is also popular for hill walking and scrambling, given its proximity to Tryfan and Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr and their profusion of rocky ridges.
